BASIC CARE

Comprehensive Exam: Before we can start your dental treatment we need to establish your needs and desires. Your first appointment will start with a complete examination of your teeth, gums, bite, and surrounding soft tissues. This information will enable us to provide you with a plan to help us achieve your goals.

Routine Cleanings / Home Care Instructions: are the most important things we can do to help you maintain a healthy mouth and smile. With regular cleanings and proper home care we can greatly reduce your risk for developing periodontal disease, so you can keep your teeth for a lifetime. After we clean and polish your teeth you will immediately notice how much whiter and smoother your teeth will feel.

Look in our specials section for information on the “White for Life” program for patients who regularly make their cleaning appointments.

White Fillings: A dental filling is needed when bacteria have invaded your tooth resulting in tooth decay. We only use natural looking “white fillings” and have completely discontinued the use of silver/mercury fillings. Not only are these materials safer and more conservative, they also eliminate unsightly metal bringing back the natural beauty of your teeth.

Crowns/Onlays: In certain situations when a simple filling would not be appropriate, such as larger decay, root canal teeth, or severely worn teeth, a crown or onlay may be required. Our office makes every effort to provide our patients with metal-free options. These types of crowns are usually more tooth conserving, eliminate the risk of allergies to metal, are extremely cosmetic, and lengthen the life of the tooth.
